Do You HAVE to do That?

Posted in Uncategorized on Thursday, May 17, 2007 by mace

If you idolize someone (or clubs, or whatever it is), do you HAVE to insult their rival?

Profile-nya full of John Terry, which is a great player), dan yang bikin gue marah bukan karena dia fans-nya Chelsea, tapi karena dia menghina-hina ManU.

Tolong deh!

Gue heran, mental orang Indonesia kok begini, ya? Mental kita semua tuh kok kebanyakan begini? Kita ngomongnya harus make peace, not war. Tapi di kalangan sendiri, secara gak sengaja, kita make war and not peace. Come on, man, do you really have to do that?

Fairy tale reflects…

Life. Don’t trust me?

Here’s what I’ve just realized a couple of days ago. Fairy tale reflects our life. Out struggle to find happiness. Our joy, our sorrow,… if it’s possible, our everything. True, fairy tale contains magic (like fairy godmother and such), but have you ever thought what it really represents?

For me, what I’m about to write pretty much sums it all. That in a fairy tale, you get someone who’s struggling in their lives. They have to work hard, be a maid in their own house, even defend their swamps (I know you know who I’m talking about when it comes to swamps, right?). Some of them make sacrifices, in order to save others. Sweeps, wash, clean, feed, you name it. They do it.

And then something happened. A glimmer of hope. A gleam of light, or whatever it is you wanna call it. The moment. One where your whole life is about to change. Some got re-ruined, some not. Therefore comes in need of a magical creature. Fairy godmother, mice (well, they’re not magical, but they are when they can sew you a dress), magical pumpkin, a sacred rose, etc. After that? Well, the rest is pretty much what came through your mind the first time someone mentioned Fairy Tale, "Happily ever after".

The working stage; is us when we want to get something. When we desire something. When we want to achieve something. We have to work on it. Hard. Too hard, sometimes. But when we do get it, it’s worth all the trouble that we’ve gone through. If you don’t believe what I just wrote then you really haven’t expirienced life to the fullest.

Magic is…. (here we go), luck. Cinderella cannot go to the ball if it weren’t for fairy godmother. If Shrek hadn’t became human then his life wouldn’t be as extraordinary as it was. We need luck. I don’t care how you try to avoid that one last one; but we all do need it. Just a little help from God (some prefer to call it a blessing. Call it whatever you want, but to me luck is just more suitable right now) to get things right.

And finally, what would life be without love? Without it there will be no beautiful, but sad, songs. There won’t be an overly dramatic movies that I enjoy occasionally. There won’t be any stories to tell. I often find people who said that they don’t believe in love. It’s a sad thing to hear, because no matter how painful it can be, it’s very essential.

It’s amazing to me that what has been there my whole life, suddenly came to have a point. Fairy tale is not just a fairy tale. Why? Because we’re creating our own, too. It may not have the perfect ending, but the least we can say, is that we try.

It’s a Round World

Posted in Uncategorized on Thursday, May 3, 2007 by mace

If he didn’t bring victory, apocalypse will come. Yah, kira-kira perumpamaannya kayak gitu, lah. Padahal kan gak begitu kenyataannya.

Blog ini masih sambungan dari blog sebelomnya, which I made out of happiness.

Apa sebenernya makna kata-kata "It’s a Round World"?

It’s a round world. There are other people that you need to count on besides that one person. They make mistakes, they become heroes sometimes. But most importantly, it’s a round world means anything can happen.
